They share the conviction that the music written by Duke Ellington, Hoagey Carmichael, Billy Strayhorn, Jimmy Van Huesen, The Basie Band, Harold Arlen, and George Gershwin is unsurpassed. They give homage to Johnny Mercer, Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Johnny Burk and the other lyrical giants who crafted so many of the jewels found in the Great American Songbook. Big Swing swims in the wake of the many great artists who reveled in the sparkling craftsmanship of these musical  giants. They join Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Nina Simone, Ray Charles, Nat Cole, Carmen McRae and others in their love for this original American art form.
